Paddington Bear, the stowaway stuffed animal who charmed generations of children with his adventures in London, is being reimagined across the city from Tuesday onward. Paddington figures will be dotted around city streets until Dec. 30 to coincide with the release of the new movie, Paddington. The stars of the movie — Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Ben Whishaw and Peter Capaldi — are among the celebrities who designed an updated Paddington Bear. And the bear, who traditionally sports a blue duffle coat and a red hat and carries a brown monogramed suitcase, now comes in a glitter, multicolored version as well as an Elizabethan-jacket-clad interpretation.
